HCANYS Policy Team Already Contemplating and Advocating on the 2026 NYS Legislative Session
As part of the early start to advocacy, HCANYS Policy Staff met with several important state legislative offices this summer to discuss many different items including CHHA funding, health care disparities, budget matters, maternal care, impacts of federal activity, and much more.
Managed Care Policy and Planning Updates – August 2025
On August 14, HCANYS participated in the state Department of Health (DOH) Managed Care Policy and Planning meeting. These meetings are held monthly with HCANYS and other Associations representing managed care plans and are an opportunity to raise issues, concerns, and questions with DOH.

Updated Health Commerce System Requirements
Regulations require that all Licensed Home Care Services Agencies, Certified Home Health Agencies/Long Term Home Health Care Programs, and Hospice providers must establish and maintain accounts for each agency it operates, including provider contact information, and ensure that sufficient and knowledgeable staff are available to maintain and keep their accounts current.
Updated Policy and Procedure for LHCSA Administrative Approval of Licensure Amendments
