Join HCANYS’ Government Relations Initiative

With the impending state budget proposal coming today, the time to join HCANYS' advocacy efforts is NOW! 

Last fall, HCA initiated a new government relations initiative to serve as a new, powerful tool for advocacy for all sectors of our Home and Community Based Services organizational membership. The initiative encompasses CHHA, LHCSA, health plan, Hospice, Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Programs/FIs, Waiver Program, and Allied Support organizational members. 

We are looking for one key representative from your organization to work with us on advocacy priorities. We invite representatives with any level of government relations and advocacy experience to join us. This representative, with assistance with HCANYS’ policy team staff, will share information with key government decision makers, engage in industry discussions, and participate in HCANYS’ advocacy activities.

Thank you to the HCA members who have indicated your participation. For all HCA members who have not already done so, it is especially critical NOW with the start of the new state legislative session, new state budget and newly elected Congress, to please designate a key representative from your organization to work with HCA on advocacy priorities.  Please do this NOW, before you finish this newsletter, and have this individual sign up here!

This collaborative effort between CHHA, LHCSA, health plan, CDPAP/FI, hospice, and allied organizations will result in more persuasive advocacy and better-educated decision-makers within state and federal government.
