Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Applications Available

The Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program (LRP) administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), pays up to 85% of unpaid nursing education debt for qualifying registered nurses (RNs); advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs); and nurse faculty (NF). 

A Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse participant is required to provide two years of full-time service at a Critical Shortage Facility. The Critical Shortage Facility must be a public or private health care facility located in, designated as, or serving a primary care or mental health, Health Professional Shortage Area. The LRP guidance document defines an eligible Critical Shortage Facility in the Primary Care Setting as inclusive of Home Health Agencies; Hospice Programs are eligible under the Hospitals and Other Critical Shortage Facilities category.  

Funding awards are made to qualified candidates based on the following allocation priorities: 

Applicants may access the Health Professional Shortage Area Find or call the HRSA Customer Care Center at 1-800-221-9393 to determine site eligibility. Applications can be submitted until April 17, 7:30 p.m. ET
